So today I'm going to share a little bit about what makes my part of the world so special. I live in Cumbria, in the North West of England (yep, right at the top just before Scotland). This area is famous for the very beautiful Lakes District and has been my home for the last 2 years. Poet William Wordsworth lived here and wrote often of the beauty of this area.
Having come all the way from South Australia, this place is incredibly different to where I grew up with its hot, dry climate. What is similar is that Cumbria and The Lakes District feels very vast and open.
So to share a little of 'my place' with you, here are some photos I've taken since I arrived in this remote little corner of England...
(Words by William Wordsworth)
I wandered lonely as a Cloud
That floats on high o'er Vales and Hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host of dancing Daffodils;
Along the Lake, beneath the trees,
Ten thousand dancing in the breeze.
I hope you enjoyed sharing a little piece of my corner of England

Have loved taking a trip and seeing more of where you are on your side of the world, since you know what mine looks like! Love the pics. Have just been catching up on your posts and love your dress you 'put together' for fashion week. Oh I envy you talented seamstresses... Hope all is well with you in the UK. Thanks for sharing some it.

I LOVE the part of England that you live in. SO beautiful and rurally romantic.
I love the way you can go from posting pictures of London Fashion Week to the English countryside, you versatile blogger, you!!

How gorgeous is that?! Even though it might be 'remote' I am sure it is so peaceful. Thanks for the mini tour :)
Stopped over from Around the World in a Day hop and really glad I did. Have a great Sunday!

Stunning, stunning, stunning! I have not been to Cumbria yet - this country is so small yet SO BIG! I love how you put your photos to WW's poem. And absolutely falling head-over-heels for the daffodils here. Do you have them in Australia too? Or is it too warm?
Thank you so much for joining my Linky Party - it wouldn't be the same without you!! XOL
Oh you live in a beautiful little spot of the world I must say :)
And a happy Sunday to you!
Before moving to Aus I lived in North Yorkshire and the Lake District is so familiar to me. It was fantastic seeing your gorgeous photos. It truly is an amazing area to explore and a place that I really miss. One of my all time favourite places ever is Ambleside and we spent a couple of days there during our last trip home. Enjoy. x
Wow, Australia to Cumbria. That's quite a journey! Came here from the Expat Linky Party. I LOVE Cumbria and your photos are just beautiful.
