The perfect garden party requires vintage style floral dresses...
These latest Spring fashion trends are perfect for making a floral fashion statement...
You need a lovely place to sit and enjoy the tea with all your delightful friends...

This country style home decor is perfect for sunny afternoons - and also ideal in case of an English rain shower.
The party simply wouldn't be complete without lovely cakes and nibblies (all presented beautifully of course!)
And finally, in true English fashion, you must have tea!
I hope you're having a lovely time at the garden party - don't forget to visit Sarah and join in the party over there! xx
PS ~ If you'd like to you can see my garden here.

I knew the instant that I saw your first photo that you were featuring the English style. I love the fabrics and styles of decor that comes from England. I cannot find any of those fabrics here in Canada at all. We are too closely associated with everything American, which is great, but I would like to see more English styles. We are actually a few years behind the USA actually, fashion wise and decor wise as well. Frustrating when I am looking for things in the store that I see on line.
I took a peak at your garden and it is lovely!
Thanks for the inspiration today!
Hugs, Cindy
I love this photographic montage!! So dreamy and gypsy-ish :) XOL
Adore all the pretty pictures. Can I have a lovely garden party under that pink and blue rosey canopy?
Visiting from Sarah's linky...now a follower of your lovely blog.

I long for those vintage dresses. They do seem to be making a comeback.
Hi melissa, thats all so gorgeous! Love the little shorts in the d&G add - if only i had the legs to carry those off!!! Thankyou for your gorgeous and kind comments this week (and for following my other blog! - have to start that sometime!!) Love the new look of your blog too! So refreshing and fun! Hugs, laura xx
Oh I loved every word and picture of this lovely post! Thanks for sharing...it got me so excited for Springs arrival! ~Kristen
What a great, great post, Melissa. I LOVE your take on the English Garden party. Really love it.
But I think you definitely need one more of lots of British people huddling under a gazebo in the rain!!! That says England to me! We'd be determined to have that party, despite the weather!!

That's very good advice. Thank you!
I'd really like some white *and* some pink. I'm asking too much, I think, aren't I?!
Thanks so much, again, for your brilliant post. It really made me smile.
Did you know that when I try to reply to your comments, it comes up as 'noreply@blogger...' so I can't email you back?
Please say you didn't know and that you're eternally grateful to know now so that I can feel I've found a way to say THANK YOU for the button blooper I did!!

Fell in love with the vintage dresses. Will be shopping the vintage shops as soon as possible. The floral canopy is just darling! Enjoyed your post very much this morning. (But of course, I always enjoy your posts.)
Truly, this would make the most PERFECT garden party! This post is darling, it's got me craving for some warm sunshine so I can go frolicking about like the girl in pic #1 :-)
